Drawing in Ontario’s Job Ready Workforce

The construction industry, among Ontario’s largest employers of skilled trades, is facing a looming labour shortage. A generational shift is underway as large numbers of skilled trades are retiring and not enough new people are entering the industry. Industry demand for new works is not being met, and that affects your business, your industry and Ontario’s ability to compete, grow and prosper.

The Ontario Homebuilders’ Association (OHBA) is piloting a new program to provide ‘job ready’ candidates to help support home builders. Managed by EnerQuality, with funding support from the Ministry of Labour, Training & Skills Development, the OHBA program recruits, pre-screens and qualifies prospective workers and provide safety training and ongoing support to new entrants to our industry.

Join EnerQuality President & CEO, Monica Curtis, to learn more about this program and its benefits to individual participants and our industry.
