Session: Preparing for Climate Change: Simple and Cost Effective Solutions
Drawing on over thirty years in the housing industry, David is part of the Association’s communications team overseeing the Association’s communications with members across the country, and with national media. As part of the CHBA’s government relations team, David works to ensure the Association’s messaging is clear, focused and data-driven.
David is also the CHBA-lead on climate resiliency, engaged with both CSA and the National Research Council in the development of resiliency guidelines and standards related to flooding, wind damage and wildfire risk.
He is a member of CSA’s Construction and Civil Infrastructure Strategic Steering Committee, and serves on the Executive Committee of the Canadian Commission on Construction Material Evaluation.
David previously served as the CHBA’s Director of Environmental Affairs.
Prior to joining the CHBA in 2008, David operated a housing consultancy for 12 years. Previously, he was a founding partner in Energy Pathways Inc. a multi-disciplinary Ottawa-based consulting firm active in housing and environmental policy and research.
