Marcos Silveira, the Director of Engineering at Printerra 3DCP, holds a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering with over 12 years of industry experience. He specializes in designing reinforced and post-tensioned concrete structures and 3D-printed masonry using BIM and FEA tools. His expertise includes leadership, structural design, optimization, generative design, 3D concrete printing, and FEA. Marcos has held academic roles, published research, and contributed to 3D construction printing projects across Canada. As a member of the ISO TC261 JG80 & ASTM F42 Group, he helped create the ISO/ASTM 52939 standard.
