Kerry Nagy has been in the home warranty business since 1999. With over 26 years with Travelers Canada, he has been involved since the inception of legislated home warranty in British Columbia, participated with the lobbying effort with the BC government to allow for deposit protection insurance in 2005 when the Real Estate Development and Marketing Act (REDMA) was enacted and also participated in the regulation reviews with the Alberta government when they created their legislated home warranty in 2014.
He grew up in the family general contracting business in Saskatchewan and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics before heading west. Over his tenure with Travelers, he was able to use his background in construction and Finance background to help mold their warranty business. He has continued his education with numerous construction-related courses, has earned a Diploma in Urban Land Economics and is now nearing completion of his Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
