Hon. Paul Calandra Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing
Paul Calandra is the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing and the Member of Provincial Parliament for Markham-Stouffville. Before being elected to the Ontario Legislature in 2018, Paul was a Federal Member of Parliament, serving as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage and later as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister and to the President of the Queen’s Privy Council. Before entering public service, he was a small business owner and insurance broker. Paul lives in Stouffville with his wife Melanie and two daughters, Natalie and Olivia.

Jill Dunlop is the Minister of Education for the Province of Ontario and Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for Simcoe North. Before being elected as MPP for Simcoe North, Jill attended Western University in London, later joining the faculty of Georgian College at the Orillia Campus in various teaching roles and facilitating field placements and internships for students.
In 2019, Jill was appointed Associate Minister of Children and Women’s Issues in the Ministry of Children, Community, and Social Services, where the role opened doors to engaging introductions, discussions, and results-driven initiatives with families, organizations, and services throughout the province.
In 2021, Jill was appointed Minister of Colleges and Universities and remained in the at role until August 2024, working closely with and supporting those attending postsecondary institutions across Ontario and beyond. Jill was appointed, by Premier Ford, as Minister of Education in August 2024.
Jill currently also sits on the Economic and Resource Policy Committee at Queen’s Park. Jill is a proud mother of three very different postsecondary-aged daughters, all of whom provide her with a unique insight into the world of higher education.

Hon. Todd J. McCarthy Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery
Todd is a well-respected and established lawyer in Durham and across Ontario. He is currently on leave from the firm Flaherty McCarthy LLP, where he was a senior partner. Todd’s continued service in the legal community included serving part-time as a Deputy Judge presiding over Small Claims Court cases at the Durham Region Courthouse, and he was President of the Durham Region Law Association. He also served as a Trustee and Vice Chair of the Durham Catholic District School Board.
In his spare time, Todd coached and sponsored minor hockey teams, and taught as an Adjunct Professor at both Queen’s University Faculty of Law and the Durham College Faculty of Justice and Emergency Services. He is also a founding donor and supporter of the Durham Abilities Centre.
Initially appointed in September 2023 as Ontario’s Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement, Minister Todd J. McCarthy oversees the delivery of vital programs, services, and products, both in-person and online, to Ontarians through ServiceOntario. In his role, he also oversees consumer protection laws in the province, leads Ontario’s efforts in the development of public policy around groundbreaking technologies like AI, and innovates new ways to make it easier to start and run a business in Ontario. Lastly, he is also responsible for supply chain management and procurement across the public sector, ensuring that Ontario ministries, provincial agencies, hospitals, school boards, children’s aid societies, and more, have access to high-quality, timely, reliable products that are also cost-effective.
Todd is recognized for his achievements and was presented the Ontario Bar Association Insurance Law Award in 2021 and was the defence counsel Honouree of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association annual celebration of the Personal Injury Bar in 2019. Supported by his wife, Kathy, and children Meaghan, Jake and Brendan, Todd is proud to represent the residents of Durham at Queen’s Park.

Hon. Sam Oosterhoff Associate Minister of Energy-Intensive Industries
Hon. Sam Oosterhoff is currently Member of Provincial Parliament for Niagara West and Associate Minister of Energy – Intensive Industries.
A lifelong resident of Niagara, Sam has always had a deep appreciation for faith, family and service to community. Since his first election in 2016, Sam has been working hard to represent the interests, priorities and concerns of the working families and job creators of Niagara West.
Sam has taken leadership on a number of issues, including anti-human trafficking policy, French-language education, student transportation, rural economic development and reducing the regulatory burden of government, as well as championing the redevelopment of West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby.
Sam’s first Private Member’s Bill became law in December 2020. The Compassionate Care Act mandates the creation of a palliative care framework in Ontario.
Sam is proud to fight for the people of Niagara West, and is blessed, along with wife, Keri, and children, Sullivan and Florence, to call this part of the province home.

Hon. Nolan Quinn Minister of Colleges and Universities
Nolan Quinn was born and raised in Cornwall, Ontario. He has been deeply involved in community service which led him to run for MPP for Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry in 2022.
Shortly after being elected, Nolan was appointed Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Children, Community and Social Services where he served until appointed Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Health in 2024. In June of 2024, Nolan was appointed Associate Minister of Forestry and was most recently promoted to Minister of Colleges and Universities.
Prior to being elected, Nolan hit the ground running into his career at Saint Elizabeth Health Care, where he specialized in human resources management. Looking to fulfil his entrepreneurial ambitions, he later returned to the private sector to manage a locally owned business for the last 15 years.
Nolan recognizes the important role the postsecondary education sector plays in educating and training the next generation workforce that will contribute to Ontario’s economic prosperity. Nolan is a graduate of St. Lawrence College, receiving a diploma in Business Management and Human Resources.
Nolan, his wife Kimberly and three young children reside in St. Andrews West.

Ric Bresee Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Transportation
Ric was born and raised in Amherstview and has lived most of his years in this riding. He graduated from St. Lawrence College as a Business Systems Analyst.
After graduating, Ric spent 1996 to 2015 working full-time as a Systems Analyst and then an Adaptive Technologist for St. Lawrence College, while also a part-time instructor in various fields, including computer science, economics and Wind Policy in Canada.
Ric has had extensive experience in Municipal politics. He has served on the Loyalist Township Municipal Council for 22 years, being re-elected five times and serving as councillor, deputy mayor and mayor.
During that time, he worked to build new residential and commercial areas, including the Loyalist East Business Park, which has added 21 new businesses. Loyalist has seen one of the highest residential growth rates in Eastern Ontario. Provincially, his proudest achievement so far is the passage of Garrett’s Legacy Act, an act to secure moveable soccer goals in Ontario so they cannot fall.
Ric is married to Heidi Galloway Bourgoin and has a blended family, having raised five children and now enjoys spoiling their two grandchildren.

Paula Tenuta, MCIP, RPP SVP, Policy & Advocacy, Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD)
Paula Tenuta is proud to serve as the Senior Vice President of Policy & Advocacy for the Building Industry & Land Development Association. Joining the association in 2001, Paula also served as the VP of Policy & Government Relations, as Director, Municipal Government Relations and Municipal Government Advisor for BILD, or the formerly known GTHBA-UDI and GTHBA (Greater Toronto Home Builders’ Association). At BILD, her government relations and advocacy work takes her to understanding planning policy and government legislation at all levels, building relationships and liaising with politicians and staff in every municipality and Region of the Greater GTA in order to advance the interests of the home building and land development industry, and their consumers. She also works closely with the Ontario Home Builders’ Association in their advocacy efforts which affect the local association members.
She is a member of Toronto Metropolitan University’s School of Urban and Regional Planning Program Advisory Council, and a member of the provincial Housing Supply Action Plan Implementation Team. When she’s not in work mode, you will find her in full hockey mom mode supporting her son in his ice adventures.

Cheryl Shindruk Executive Vice President, Geranium
Cheryl Shindruk has a Master’s degree in City Planning and Bachelor of Human Ecology. Under her leadership since 2003, Geranium continues to obtain approvals for largescale masterplanned developments, redevelopment sites, and complex infill developments across southern Ontario. A long-time BILD volunteer, Shindruk was Chair 2019-20, past Chair of Simcoe Chapter, and a 2024 BILD Hall of Fame inductee. A past Board member of Unionville Home Society, she currently serves on the Board of the Canada Ireland Foundation.

Terri Johns Founder & President, Landwise
Terri is a professional urban planner with 40 years’ experience in the private sector. She spent most her early career with consulting company May, Pirie, Dakin & Associates in Burlington, Ontario, and then went on to run the Planning and Development division for the Starward Homes group of companies. Terri founded T. Johns Consulting Group in 2014 and as President, guides the company’s direction in the urban planning, design, and project management. With a partner on board, the company rebranded this last February to Landwise.
Terri is a proud graduate of two Hamilton educational institutions. She has diplomas from Mohawk College in Broadcast Journalism and Municipal Planning & Development. While working full-time as a consultant, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from McMaster University. Terri is a member of the Ontario Professional Planning Institute and the Canadian Institute of Planners.
In her personal time, Terri is steadfast in her passion of giving back to the community. In 2024, she received the Order of Hamilton to recognize her countless volunteer contributions to the YWCA Hamilton and West End Home Builder’s Association. Jill Hogan Commissioner, Development Services, Town of Milton
Jill Hogan is the Commissioner of Development Services for the Town of Milton – Over the course of 25 years, Jill has worked in the municipal land use planning field and has successfully led teams at the City of Brampton, City of Toronto and most recently at the Town of Milton. Jill has built a reputation based on her ability and drive to formulate innovative approaches to achieve high quality urban development through creative collaborations with Council, community stakeholders and developers. Adria Minsky Director, Public Affairs, Mattamy Homes
Adria is the Director of Public Affairs with Mattamy Homes Canada.
Adria was involved in politics at both the federal and provincial level for more than 16 years. In Ottawa, she worked for a number of federal cabinet ministers with portfolios that included environment, public works, international trade and indigenous affairs. Between 2011 and 2013, she served as the Director of Policy to the Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development.
In 2014, Adria joined a national not-for-profit dedicated to increasing political engagement in the Canadian political process, as the Director of Marketing and Communications. Kirstin Jensen is the Vice President of Policy, Advocacy & Relationships with the Ontario Home Builders’ Association. Kirstin leads a team of dedicated policy, technical, and government relations professionals, advocating for the industry’s objectives and engaging with government decision makers and industry stakeholders.
Kirstin previously served as an external advisor to OHBA, contributing significantly to their leadership and policy strategy during a transitional period, while she was leading her own planning, policy and strategy business, Jensen Planning, for the last year following her departure from the government.
Her extensive background includes roles such as political Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff, and Director of Policy to the Ontario Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing. Frank Lohmann Director, Building Science, Canadian Home Builders’ Association
Frank became a certified journeyman carpenter and cabinetmaker in 1989 in Germany. After his graduation as a building science engineer in 1996 in Germany, he immigrated to Canada and worked for 23 years at the National Research Council Canada—first on window and wall research and then on the development of the national construction codes. Since 2020, Frank has been the Director, Building Science at CHBA’s National office where he makes sure builders’ and renovators’ interests are represented on codes and standards committees. Frank complements the CHBA’s Tech Team by working on the Canadian Electrical Code and many climate change-related files. He also advises CHBA’s Modular Construction Council.

Alex Lukachko Assistant Professor, John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design, University of Toronto Director, Climate Design Initiative
Alex Lukachko is a building science consultant and climate change adaptation specialist, who has worked on high performance, low carbon buildings and building materials with clients in many parts Canada and the United States, including building material manufacturers, developers, constructors, and design firms. He is currently working with architecture firms to help them change their design and construction practice to address the climate crisis. Alex teaches the integration of energy, building science and design concepts in the architecture programs at the University of Toronto. He has active research interests in the development of future building enclosure systems and the design of high-performance, low-environmental-impact buildings. In particular, he is interested in the link between architectural design and quality assurance that ensures high building performance. These interests are part of a long-term pursuit of effective (and measurable) sustainable building practices.

Michael Piper is an Associate Professor of urban design and architecture at the University of Toronto. His research and teaching focus on the analysis and design of physical space to impact policy change for Northern American suburbs. He is a co-director, with Janna Levitt from LGA, of ReHousing, a research initiative that explores how to convert single-family homes into multi-unit housing. The team, including project manager Samantha Eby, is working to impact policy change for small apartments and multiplexes in low rise neighborhoods.

Ellen Hlozan is Director of Strategic Alliances at Trax, a cloud-based building code and standards platform. Prior to Trax, Ellen was a Research Collaboration Manager at Autodesk Research building partnerships that enabled practical testing of research in real world scenarios.

Samantha Eby Executive Director, ReHousing
Samantha Eby is the Executive Director of ReHousing, a nonprofit focusing on housing creation through applied research, consultation, and education. As an architect and researcher, Samantha’s work explores the intersection of design, policy frameworks, and ownership models, and their impacts on housing projects. She received the Canada Council for the Arts Prix de Rome for Emerging Practitioners in 2020. In addition to her role at ReHousing, Samantha is a sessional instructor at the University of Toronto and an adjunct professor at the University of Waterloo School of Architecture.

Tasha Kheiriddin Bilingual Host, Moderator, and Media Commentator
Tasha Kheiriddin is one of Canada’s best-known commentators, analysts, and strategic thinkers. She is currently a principal with Navigator Ltd., one of Canada’s leading high stakes strategic advisory and communications firm; the national political columnist for Postmedia; a lecturer with the Max Bell School of Public Policy; and a bestselling author. With over two decades of experience analyzing, writing about, and commenting on political and current affairs for major networks and publications across Canada, Kheiriddin is an in-demand keynote speaker and a polished moderator and emcee.
Kheiriddin became passionate about politics and current affairs at an early age and held various positions in Ottawa, Toronto, and Montreal. After a career in politics and law, she became a journalist, first working for CBC Newsworld before joining the Law Times and CPAC, where she earned the Justicia Award for Excellence in Journalism. Over the course of her media career, Kheiriddin has also co-hosted CTV News Channel’s National Affairs, hosted the Tasha Kheiriddin Show on Global News Radio, and served as a member of the editorial board and columnist at the National Post, as a columnist at iPolitics.ca, and as an award-winning host-producer at the Cable Public Affairs Channel.
In addition, Kheiriddin has served as communications director and vice-president for several major Canadian policy institutes, including the Montreal Economic Institute, the Fraser Institute, and the Canadian Taxpayers Federation. She also operated her own communications consultancy, advising clients on strategy, message development and media training. In recognition of her work, the Women’s Executive Network named Kheiriddin as one of Canada’s “Top 100 Most Powerful Women” in 2016.
An accomplished writer, Kheiriddin is the co-author of Rescuing Canada’s Right: Blueprint for a Conservative Revolution and the author of The Right Path: How Conservatives Can Unite, Inspire, and Take Canada Forward. She is also a tax policy and justice contributor for two other books. Kheiriddin also writes a weekly column for the Postmedia chain of newspapers and provides analysis for radio and television networks in both official languages.
A law graduate of McGill University, Kheiriddin has lectured in McGill’s Canadian Studies and North American Studies programs and in its Max Bell School of Public Policy.
