With 15 years of Planning and Project Management experience, Paul formed Batory in 2014 to build a company that provides urban planning and project management expertise to clients across the Greater Toronto Area. Paul is a Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP) and a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) in Ontario. He holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Waterloo.
As an Urban Planner in the private sector, Paul has been responsible to manage and oversee the development process and coordinating planning applications as well as working with coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams, land use assessments and site selection, preparing development concepts, and approval processes on behalf of clients.
Having worked as a Land Use Planner at the Municipal level of government for 8 years, he has managed development applications including official plan and zoning by-law amendments, plan of subdivision and condominium, site planning, severance, and minor variance applications.
Paul’s expertise at presenting projects to Councils, Committees and Public Meetings across Ontario has successful contributed to the approval process for clients. Paul has also provided expert witness testimony numerous times at the Ontario Land Tribunal on land use planning matters.
